This week the Robins enjoyed listening to and reading various versions of a very well-known traditional story, Jack and the Beanstalk. They sequenced the events of Jim and the Beanstalk, thought about the differences and similarities between some of the stories and, finally, planned and wrote their own version. Here are some photos of their work, or of them working or proudly holding their work.
Last Wednesday, I gave the Robins a Magic Beans task. They had to use their imagination and use a computer paint program to draw what the beans may grow into. Here are some of their creations.
James had fun creating a scene for the story of Jack and the Beanstalk, after he made the stick puppets.
Mrs Panting set a French task, which involved learning the names of animals.

For this week’s PSHE task, the children had to think of some words to describe what makes them special.
Here are some of their ideas.
Finally, here are some photos of George and Theo outside enjoying time in the countryside.
As you can see from the photographs, the Robins had a busy week, whether they were learning at home, or visiting their local area. If the weather permits, it is just great to get outside, to walk and enjoy the natural world around us.
