The Swans all came back refreshed from a week off and were quick to settle back in to class routines and work.
On Tuesday we celebrated Shrove Tuesday. We discussed how some Christians observe Lent and Shrove Tuesday is an opportunity to use up rich food by making pancakes. We made pancake batter, using scales and jugs to measure the ingredients accurately, and then Mrs Goodson started fry the pancakes while the Swans prepared a fruit salad. We then enjoyed a fruit salad pancake feast!
We finished our Science topic on materials with an investigation. The children showed good understanding of a fair test, they made predictions and they recorded results. All great scientific skills.
