Another busy week in Swan Class, with loads of learning.
The children’s written work is showing fabulous progress. They are writing short detailed stories and we are now going to look at stories by Julia Donaldson to help with our own writing.
In Maths we used Beebots. We gave them instructions to follow routes. This links well with the programming work we are doing in computing.
In Science we investigated which paper was the most absorbent. We made sure that we performed a fair test and we measured the results carefully and recorded them. We will carry out more investigations with materials this week.
In History we looked at more information about Mary Anning. We discussed how information about 200 years ago isn’t always accurate and that different books and stories may have different information. We painted some excellent watercolour portraits of Mary Anning, they are displayed outside the classroom, please pop in to see them.
