This week we were excited to experience a frosty day. We investigated the ice in the school grounds and environmental area. We discovered that the pond was frozen on one side and wondered why it was not frozen all over. One of the children realised it was because of the trees and they made it slightly warmer. The children shared their descriptive words: slippy, frosty, icy, Jack Frost, slip, ice, salty, crushed, white, like snow, chilly, frozen, like paper.
