It is lovely to welcome all Cygnet children back to school after the Easter holiday. We are continuing to focus our learning around SMILE; socialise, move, interest, learn and engage. Some of the children brought their Spring Books back to share. We enjoyed learning about the the solar system and the order of the planets. We learned new words that the planets orbit the sun and that Earth rotates as it travels. We worked together to make representations of planets using a variety of materials. We added the planets to our space station role play. In Phonics we have been revising our Phase 2 and 3 sounds. In maths we are building on our understanding of numbers to learn about numbers beyond 10. We used tens frames to add and subtract numbers within 20.
