Robin Class News: 14.12.20

Well we have finally reached the last week of term! For all of us, it has been rather different from previous years, with social distancing in place and lots of hand washing! I think all the emphasis on washing hands must be good, for there haven’t been many children with colds in class.

Last week, we were busy practising for our short Christmas performance with Kingfisher Class. Here is a photo of the children in the hall.

The finished performance will be uploaded to our Google Classroom this week. More photos with the next post of the children in their Christmas jumpers last Friday when recording the songs.

In our English lessons, we were reading some poems about the Moon and looking for rhyming patterns, including writing some alliterative phrases, such as milky Moon and sparkling stars.

On Wednesday, the children enjoyed doing some coding with Mrs Patterson in the Computer Room. Here are some photos.

Thursday was very exciting for all the children in school because they had a surprise visit from Santa sitting in a horse-drawn cart. Here are some of the photos.

We ended the week with the children creating their felt Robin picture for their calendar, which will be coming home this week.

I hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend, no doubt busy with some Christmas preparations. I still have a bag of cards, which I still need to write!
