Good morning to the Robins and their parents. Well, what another strange week it has been! More home learning, but this time we are all using the new Google Classroom. It has been a steep learning curve for us all, but my skills have certainly improved with the daily practise!
It has been good to be able to keep in touch through the messaging section and via the class e-mail. I have received lots of lovely photos of the children working and their work and I am going to upload some of them now.
I shall begin with some of the English work, which includes Moon words, Funnybones’ stories, phonics sheets, handwriting and sentence work.
Well done to all the children who have been completing their White Rose Maths’ Worksheets. Here are just a few examples of the work. I am also including Lettie’s number rockets, who did a good job with numbering her rockets.
Here are a few pieces of the French work, which Mrs Panting uploaded to the Classroom.
I have been very impressed by the poppy artwork that I have received – stunning! I hope you all enjoyed learning more about Remembrance Day, which is a day when we commemorate the people who died during the two World Wars.
Finally, two great photos of Mia working on a task and listening to Mrs Brownsey reading a short story.
Finally, it is nearly the weekend, when we will all be able to spend some time relaxing! By now, you will have received the letter informing you that the school will re-open for Year 1 and Year 2 children next Monday. Unfortunately, I am still self-isolating, alongside other staff members, who were working in school at the beginning of last week. Mrs Panting will be teaching the class, but I will be planning and co-ordinating the lessons with her and still uploading all tasks to the Google Classroom. I look forward to being back in school next Thursday and teaching the children in the classroom! In the meantime, I will upload some more photos to the website at the beginning of next week.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend and enjoy some sunny walks, if this fine weather continues.
