Robin Class News: 22.10.20

Well, we have finally reached half term! Yesterday, the children left school just after lunchtime, after a fun morning dressed in their dare to be different outfits. Well done to the Robins and their parents for coming up with some great ideas, with lots of coloured hair and clothes. Josh certainly had a unique idea with pants on his head! Here are some photos.

As it was Apple Day, the children completed some apple tasks. After looking at a variety of apples, we collected some words to write an acrostic poem, with the word APPLE written vertically. The following photos show the children writing their poem, our shared collection of words and class version, with copies of four of their poems.

After break, the Robins worked in the Computer Room and used a paint program to create an image of a bowl of juicy apples. Once they had finished, they were able to choose another activity. Here are some further photos of the children working together.

Finally, after a couple of afternoons with Google Parent Meetings, many thanks to all of you for using the technology to enable us to get together and have a chat about how the children have settled to working in Year 2 and how they are getting on with their work. It was great to meet you all online for a chat and for once I kept to time!

I hope you all have an enjoyable half term holiday, whether you are going away for a holiday, or spending time at home with some daily outings.
