Wheatfen Forest School

Wheatfen Forest School in Surlingham are hosting some FREE playful picnics and woodland wanders for shielding families in partnership with Toy Like Me – starting today and running until the end of August.

Lockdown might be easing but we know that for some families it remains an ever real threat and worry.

Families with children or a young person under 21 who are shielding a family member from Covid19 due to medical reasons, can have access to 3 hours in a beautiful woodland setting all by themselves, fully funded by Toy Like Me.

Monday – Friday slots available. AM or PM.

All they need to do is go to the Wheatfen Forest School Facebook page and book a slot, or get in touch directly with Rose Hoare at Wheatfen on 07787553577.

Families will have:

Space to themselves, no public entry is allowed at any time.
Trees to climb!
Animals to spot!
Bugs too hunt!
Space to breath!
Reserved parking in Wheatfen Nature Reserve carpark.
Play suggestions will be pinned to the trees to give you ideas for fun things to do!

Pack a picnic and get in touch!

Slots are also still available at Hautbois Activity Centre in Coltishall too. More details can be found about this on Toy Like Me Facebook page Repeat bookings in both venues more than welcome.

Genuine shielders with children and young people under 21 only please. We need to keep this site safe so please stick to the rules!

This project has been made possible by Norfolk Community Foundation and East of England Co-op.
