Good morning Robins. Well, here we are at the end of the Summer Term, with tomorrow being the last day. This has been such a strange term for all of us, with home learning and only the Year 6 children back in school in Bubbles of no more than six children!
It was lovely to see so many of you at our ‘Keeping in touch day’ on Friday 3rd July. I really enjoyed hearing your news and watching you chat with your friends. Thank you also for the thoughtful cards and gifts you gave me.
Today, I am uploading to this class blog, the exciting summer challenges, which I hope you enjoy. These include: The Epic Summer Scrapbook Journal Challenge, The Summer Reading Challenge 2020 and, The Get ‘Out and About’ Hemblington Challenge Grid. There are a variety of challenges and you have the whole summer holiday to complete them. Your new Headteacher, Miss Collier, is keen for you to know that there will be prizes!
For those of you who are keen to continue with the BBC Bitesize learning, the lessons will continue throughout this week and you can also scroll back to previous lessons that interest you.
I am also giving you some further activities, which you may like to complete this week, or during the long holiday. There are two summer activity booklets for English and Maths, a mystery activity about a naughty gnome, your favourite memories from this year sheet and four art activities.
I have really enjoyed teaching you all this year, even though the third term has been rather different than we expected, when the year began back in September! I hope you all enjoy the long summer holiday, with lots of fun activities and time to relax, maybe with a good book! I shall look forward to seeing you all in September, when you will be in Kingfisher Class next door to Robin Class.
My best wishes for a very happy holiday.
