Cygnet Class Home Learning

In Zog, Madame Dragon teaches the dragons how to fly, to roar, to blow fire, how to capture a princess and lastly how to fight. Zog has to try really hard and practise so that he can learn. Sometimes he finds it really hard but with the help of Princess Pearl he keeps on trying and does not give up. Draw a picture and write a sentence about something you would really like to be able to do.

Your Phonics challenge today is to read the story, circle the words with the “oa” phoneme and record them in a list. How many can you find?

Your next challenge is to look and listen really carefully as you practise counting with Steve Light as he reads his book “Have You Seen My Dragon.”

Today’s White Rose Maths activities are from Week 9, Day 3. Today you will be making subtraction stories about flying dragons. Before you start you might like to make some dragon stick puppets to help you with your calculations. Cut the dragons out and stick them onto lollipop sticks or thin, short sticks from your garden.

Here is another number challenge. Make sure that you read the symbols carefully.

Let’s finish today’s learning by watching Zog
